Govindapuram Temple: A Temple To Watch Out For

Govindapuram In Kumbakonam Is The Best Temple I Have Seen:

I recently visited Kumbakonam for seeing the temples and I saw a lot of them. But the best that I saw was the Govindapuram temple. It was decorated beautifully and the neat and clean atmosphere also adds to its credit. I was really amazed about that and I wondered how it would be if we build a temple like that in Chennai. I have seen many temples in my life but whatever I saw was like normal temple, heavy rush and noisy atmosphere. But this one is something special for me. Temple lovers, please visit this temple and don’t miss a temple like this.

A Separate Path For Coming Inside As Well As Going Out:

It was a great visit. It was a big hall and going inside was quite a long distance. They in fact had a considerable amount of people but nobody made any noise and everybody kept quiet. It was something amazing. For going inside, you have a separate path and for coming outside too, you have a separate one. This is one facility.

A Big Hall For Meditation:

There is also a big hall for meditation and anybody who wants can sit and meditate there. Cell Phones are strictly banned inside and anybody who disobeys it will get their cell phones seized and will be returned only when they go out.

Very Neat And Tidy Temple:

It was a big hall with a very neat and tidy atmosphere inside it. A temple lover will find it so nice when he sees from the gates of the temple. I have got the luck to visit there and get darshan from Lord Pandurangan that too a very big one. A lucky person won’t miss this.

Low Rush Inside The Temple:

There was not much of a rush inside the temple because it was located in the inner side of Kumbakonam. We were very lucky to escape from the rush because the day we went there was a week day and I enjoyed the darshan to the maximum.

Lot More Facilities Than Any Other Temple:

There are lot more facilities than any other temple in the World and go there and see those also. Enjoy.

Maintenance of Cows also take place:

There is a separate area for the maintenance of cows that we popularly call as Gosalai. The purpose of maintenance is, in olden days, people had the facility to maintain a cow in every house and the used to commit themselves for serving the cow, doing rituals and so on. But nowadays, due to lack of space and also due to the construction of flats, it’s impossible to maintain a cow in every house. So if anybody wishes to contribute for the maintenance of Gosalai, they can send their cheques with amount in the name of Govindapuram. But they are very neatly maintained and I am really surprised that there are 800-1000 cows and every cow has a separate shed for food serving, washing etc. So we must visit that place.
